Michele Temple is a great example of a UMC resident doing just that. After a sudden illness left Michele unable to walk and in need of support, she moved to Collingswood Manor determined not to stop living fully. Instead, she immersed herself in community life — participating in trips, creative programs, volunteer opportunities, and resident leadership.
“I was determined to do everything. I haven’t stopped since! I’ve seen people here do things that amaze me, and we feed off each other. It’s the idea of home and family.”
