UMC Senior Vice President for Programs and Services Honored with Prestigious President’s Award

Cindy Jacques recognized for decades of improving the quality of life of senior citizens

NEPTUNE, N.J.— Cindy Jacques Services of United Methodist Communities (UMC), has received the prestigious 2025 President’s Award from LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware (LANJDE). This honor recognizes Jacques’ extraordinary contributions to aging services and her unwavering commitment to advancing the lives of older adults and their caregivers.

“We are profoundly grateful for Cindy’s invaluable contributions to our association and the communities we serve,” said James McCracken, President & CEO of LeadingAge NJ & DE. “We’re honored to recognize her extraordinary career with the President’s Award.”

Reflecting on the recognition, Jacques said, “Working hard at something you love is very fulfilling. Being appreciated for what you do is precious, and I am blessed to have both.”

Jacques began her career with UMC in 2000, bringing expertise as a certified social worker and assisted living administrator, along with extensive training in dementia care and mental health counseling. Over the years, she has played a key role on the senior leadership team, including as Vice President of Housing and Community Initiatives, and was promoted to Senior Vice President for Programs and Services in 2023. Jacques has been instrumental in guiding UMC’s Senior Affordable Housing and HomeWorks homecare division, driving innovative programs and initiatives that enhance quality of life for seniors.
